Classic Kitchens FAQ
What are Classic Kitchens, and how do they differ from other listings?
Classic Kitchens is a curated selection of traditional, home-style kitchen spaces with timeless design and character. These kitchens offer a warm, relatable aesthetic that is ideal for shoots that require authenticity, charm, or a lived-in look. Unlike modern industrial kitchens or high-end designer sets, Classic Kitchens focus on comfort and familiarity.
Are these kitchens styled or practical for real cooking?
They are both stylish and functional. Each kitchen is equipped with working appliances, including ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and sinks. Whether you're staging a commercial for cookware or filming a recipe video, these kitchens can handle the preparation of real food.
What kinds of productions work best in Classic Kitchens?
These spaces are ideal for family-centered cooking shows, food blogs, recipe tutorials, nostalgic commercials, lifestyle content, and any scene that requires a residential kitchen backdrop. Their intimate layout and relatable design help viewers feel at home.
Do the Classic Kitchens all share the same layout or style?
No. Each kitchen in the Classic Kitchens collection has its unique flavor. Some lean toward a farmhouse style with wood cabinetry and vintage appliances, while others opt for an urban or transitional look. The team can help match you with a kitproject's fits your project’s tone and branding.
How are these kitchens different from the Chelsea or Brooklyn listings?
Unlike larger studio-style kitchens that focus on spacious layouts or high-end finishes, Classic Kitchens are often situated in residential settings or styled to resemble them. They prioritize realism, detail, and character over scale or modern minimalism.
Is there space for a whole production crew?
While these kitchens tend to be more compact than open loft studios, most still accommodate small to medium-sized crews. Strategic camera placement and lighting allow for practical shooting within these cozy environments.
Can I bring in my props or kitchenware?
Yes. While each Classic Kitchen includes basic cookware and dishware, you are welcome to bring your items, such as props, utensils, or brand-specific products. The team can also help source or style the space to match your creative direction.
Is natural light available?
Many of the kitchens feature windows that allow for natural light during the day. However, depending on your lighting needs, the spaces can also be supplemented with studio lighting. Some kitchens may allow for complete blackout setups if desired.
Are these kitchens suitable for sound recording?
These are not soundproof so that the ambient sound noise may vary depending on the location and time of day. For products that require clean audio, scheduling during quieter hours or using sound blankets and directional microphones is recommended.
