Meteorologist, Brian Niznansky pulled a “Ron Burgundy” on TV.

Be careful when reading what is written on the teleprompter.

A meteorologist in Green Bay, named Brian Niznansky, pulled a Ron Burgundy moment when he read a prank message written for the teleprompter by his coworker nemesis. If you are familiar with the movie “Anchorman” you know that the newscasters read everything written on the teleprompter, even if it does not make sense.

On live television, Brian Niznansky said, “I love lamp,” which is one of Steve Carell’s lines from the movie because it was written on the teleprompter.

The news director allegedly slipped the quote into the story because he wanted to prove that newscasters were all heavily reliant on the teleprompter. You have been warned, celebrities, do not pull a Niznansky moment.

Weatherman Brian Niznansky of NBC26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin cemented his spot in the Ron Burgundy Hall of Shame when he proved that, like Will Ferrell’s famous ‘Anchorman’ character, he will read anything that is put on the Teleprompter.

If anything, Niznansky gets off easy, as his colleagues prank him by having him read the fairly innocuous ‘Anchorman’ line “I love lamp.”

Check out Niznanasky’s blunder below.  As a bonus, you can also watch TNT NBA broadcaster Charles Barkley — who didn’t get off so easy — fall for the same trick.
