What is a Satellite Media Tour?
A Satellite Media Tour is a secure method employed by broadcasters to distribute live video of a celebrity or expert to local television news broadcast studios for live interaction with their host, A typical tour might have a celebrity in the studio in one city connected to different local news stations every hour or so.
By example, a celebrity, political candidate or pundit might be in our NYC studio and at 8AM appear on CNN and at 9AM on WNBC and at 10AM on ABC.
Chelsea West, located at Hudson Yards on Manhattan’s west, side is a fulls service production, designing and broadcasting facility live streaming events for global brand leaders. Based in the heart of Hudson Yards in New York City, the studio is conveniently near the Javits Center, Times Square, Madison Square Garden, and other surrounding prime event spaces. It has 24/7 lobby security, easy freight access to the building loading dock, and updated appliances.
This 360 degree studio is fully equipped for 4K broadcast and features a newly built 10’ x 7’ 4K LED wall. The setup includes 3 dollied Blackmagic URSA Mini Broadcast cameras with multiple lens options, DMX custom controlled lighting, a pipeline grid, black or white tracked background curtains, a Green Screen seamless, and wireless or wired microphone communication.
