Live Virtual Set Compositing Service
In a typical green screen production, the talent, director, and camera operator are, in a sense, shooting blind. The production crew on set sees the actor(s) moving against a field of monochromatic green.
Not the best way to get precisely composed, realistic shots. Nor is it ideal for the actors.
Only after editing can one see if the shot was successful.
With our cutting-edge technology, the full photorealistic 3D, 4K set is composited with the actors in real-time with a moving camera.
It’s truly “What you see, is what you get.”
4K Virtual Sets Live Compositing In Our Astoria Prime Green Screen Studio
We Live Composite Actors Into 3D/4K Photorealistic Virtual Sets With a Moving Jib Mounted Sony F55 Camera.
The stage is equipped with a Sony F55 4K camera and Cabrio zoomLens on a modified Jimmy Jib. We use an advanced tracking system with motors on the Jib and lens to perfectly sync the exact focal length of the lens and the position of the camera in space relative to the 3D virtual set.
Normally, the only way to achieve camera movement on a green screen is to place tracking markers on the green screen and then, in post-production, use a process called Cameramatch Move to composite.
Unreal Engine 5 Green Screen Compositing
The incredible power of Unreal Engine 5 software allows 3D images, created in virtually all advanced 3D programs such as MAYA, 3 D Max, Blender, etc. to be used for building and lighting the model. Then the design is imported into Unreal Engine and loaded into our supercomputer.
As you can see in the above videos, the result is an amazing life-like blend of the real and the unreal. Actors can move in and through the virtual space as if they were walking through a physical environment.
And, if you were impressed by the realistic quality of the above videos, just wait until you see what’s coming.
Unreal Engine 5.1 is ready in demo form. See the amazing videos at the links above. They were rendered in real-time… not days of processing. If we create a scene for you and import it into Unreal Engine Unreal 5 you will immediately see really mind-blowing quality and realism.
Recent 4K Virtual Set video shot on our Astoria Prime Green Screen Studio with JettSets Technology
Each shot was played back and reviewed with actors and the set was perfectly composited. No need to “fix it in the post”.
The interaction of the virtual set to live actor/element is so perfect that the camera can seamlessly “rack focus” from a real to a virtual object and back with perfect fidelity.
“Crypto Shark Tank” streaming series shot with our Technology
We shot exterior scenes on the streets of New York as well as interiors at the recent Block Chain Convention in Seoul, Korea. The set was created with our JettSets tech but not in the Astoria Studio. As time was of the essence for the show’s upcoming release date and our high-tech facility in Astoria was already solidly booked, we moved the show to one of our Manhattan Green Screen Stages.
There, we shot the show against pre-composited backgrounds which were created to match specific shots.
This process does not exploit the full potential of our tech but does give a much superior result than standard Green Screen techniques.
Dance Music Video Shoot With our 4K Virtual Sets
Our 4K Virtual Sets are great for creative dance and music video shoots. With our 4K virtual sets the action can take place anywhere you can image.
The clip was shot in our Astoria Studios for the new Jason Bourne Adventure Ride at Universal Studios in Orlando. The actress, Julia Stiles, was live on our set and composited in real-time into the stunning visuals you see here.
This was all a one-day shoot.
Universal could have shot this in Hollywood but came to New York for our JettSets technology.
